Bár a ló szavunk a közelben csak a szláv "lósa, lósagy" szavakra hajaz, azért a nyereg szavunk számos nyelvben a "ló-szett" (sidló > ülés+ló, saddle..) variánsa, s nem a "kun, kon, konya" szavakból lett képezve.
