It is remarkable that, in spite of the generally relatively weak lexical influence of Nivkh on Orok, Orok has also borrowed a few items of basic vocabulary from Nivkh, such as Orok xababi ‛lung(s)’, compare Nivkh havaf ‛lung(s)’; Orok ŋojokko ‛egg’, compare Nivkh ŋojeq ‛egg’; Orok (Northern dialect) qod’i ‛neck’, compare Nivkh qhos ‛neck’; Orok uniγǝri ‛star’, compare Nivkh un’γr ‛star’ (a comparison made by Ikegami 1997:220.

Sum. ur ?UR? ‘dog,’ incorrectly read by Diakonoff as sur ?SURx?[12] and compared to some Munda forms that originate from proto-Munda *sV ‘dog’ (normally attested with suffixes or as an element in compounds; see Pinnow 1959: 112, 210, 242, 242, 350; Anderson 2004: 163).

The haka is a ceremonial Maori war dance or challenge. Haka are usually performed in a group and represent a display of a tribe's pride, strength and unity. A kapa haka a maori akciódalok és az azokat eloadó csoportok kifejezése . Ez szó szerint azt jelenti, hogy „csoport” ( kapa ) és „tánc” ( haka ).

It is believed that the Chang tribe originated from a particular peepal tree (Chongnyu) which was exceptional tall and huge and could be seen from every direction. Because of the tree’s exceptional and outstanding structure it was described as ‘CHANGENNYU’ in Chang dialect which means ‘standing tall’ or ‘towering above its surrounding’. Till today the Chang’s revere and remember the place where man danced with the tiger (MOLO-DOMSHANG) in Chang dialect and the famous meaning of the song and theme ‘SALAPONG’ which means the tiger will devour the man.
