Fülöp-szigetek

Dula, wula, gyula

Dula

The title "Lakan" refers to a monarch and was the equivalent of "Rajah" or "King."

A nádor

In (Kapampangan, the word Lakan means "lord" and the word dula means "palace", such that the title literally meant "Lord of the Palace."

Tondo

Tondo, (also referred to as Tundo, Tundun, Tundok, Lusung) was a Philippine fortified kingdom which was located in the Manila Bay area, specifically north of the Pasig river, on Luzon island.
Fülöp, a barát neve után: Fülöp szigetek. Phil-ippinos. Nagy szigete Luzon.

Az etimológusok szerint a Fülöp-szigetek nevét II.Philip spanyol király után kapta az 1500-as évek végén. A névadó Ruy López de Villalobos spanyol hajós volt. A szigetek neve korábban Leyte és Samar volt.
Az etimológiai lap ugyanitt említi: Ilocano from Philippine Spanish Ilocos, lit. "river men", from Tagalog ilog "river".

Allah

Thousands of inscriptions from walls and rocks in Northern Arabia have also been collected. Reliefs and votive bowls used in worship of the "daughters of Allah" have also been discovered. The three daughters, al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat are sometimes depicted together with Allah the Moon-god represented by a crescent moon above them. The archeological evidence demonstrates that the dominant religion of Arabia was the cult of the Moon-god.

In the Ugaritic texts, the Moon-god was sometimes called Kusuh.

As demonstrated by Sjoberg and Hall, the ancient Sumerians worshipped a Moon-god who was called many different names. The most popular names were Nanna, Suen and Asimbabbar. His symbol was the crescent moon.

Meteorites-cults are common in Greco-Roman civilizations. According to the religious historian Mircea Eliade, the Temple of Artemis (Diana) at Ephesus contained a squat statue of the mother-goddess, carved from a meteorite that fell from Jupiter (Acts 19:26-35). The Palladium of Troy and the conic black stone or (Baetyl) of Elagabal in Emesa, Syria, are believed to be of meteoric origin. Likewise, the Phrygian mother goddess Cybele worshipped in Pessinus (later Rome) was a stone; doubtless a meteorite. A further example is the meteorite of Pessinunt in Phrygia, which was worshipped as "the needle of Cybele," brought to Rome in a powerful procession after the Punic war on advice from the Delphic oracle; there the meteorite was worshipped as a fertility goddess for further 500 years.

A bor szineváltozása

According to another version, the name came from the local word bora (bubbles) and bocay (white), because Ati elders amazed at the resemblance of the white sand to water bubbles.

Perhaps this is the origin of Boracay, derived from "Bora.Acay". And that name stuck for the tiny island. Much later, the name was given to the bigger island instead of calling it "Ro Isla it Buruanga."

Ro sziget
The wide island of Panay was originally inhabited by Negritos or locally called Ati.
When the Spaniards came to Panay from Cebu in 1569, they found people with tattoos, and so they called the island "isla de los pintados."

Austronesian

Hypotheses on the origin of the Austronesian settlers of the Pacific are divided between a recent "pulse-pause" expansion from Taiwan and an older "slow-boat" diffusion from Wallacea.

Csónak
The Philippine "bangka" comes from the Austronesian ba?ka[h] which means "boat," a term also found in Indonesia and the Melanesian islands such as Fiji and Samoa (Dempwolff 15). In the Philippines, bangka was first recorded to refer to all kinds of small boats usually used in rivers or in shallow coastal waters (San Antonio 33).
For example, in the Ilocos region, the bangka was originally a small boat that was comparable to the paraw, a slow-moving small water craft (Carro 46).
Similarly, the Ilocano boat bilog was a small bangka that was hollowed out from a single log in the 19th century that eventually became a large boat made of planks (Carro 57).
During the 18th century, the term bangka was found in several Philippine languages, among them Ilokano and Tagalog, but not in the Bikol and Visayan languages. In fact, neither term bangka nor bilog were found in the early Bicol and Visayan vocabularies. Instead, the Bicol term for boat was sacayan and if it were constructed from a single log, it was called a baloto (Lisboa 53). The term bangka is also absent in the 1637 vocabulary for the Visayan, Hiligaynon and Haraya of Panay island (de Mentrida).

Styx: The bangka was a boat that transported souls to the afterlife and a boat that had a soul of its own.

If the dead had been a member of a raiding team, the coffin would be in the shape of the boat called barangay. Animals would be placed as rowers, with a slave to oversee everything (de San Antonio 152). If he were a renowned sailor, he would be buried in his boat, with slaves to row him to the afterlife. In Bohol, a datu was reported to have been buried with 70 armed slaves and food supplies, just as he had sailed when still living (Colin 174).

In 1786, Sir William Jones announced in Calcutta earth-breaking news in the linguistic field. He stated that Sanskrit and the European languages "have sprung from some common source which, perhaps, no longer exists." These words set a trend in the linguistic study of Sanskrit and the use of the term "Aryan," to describe not only the Indian languages, but those of Europe, first came into effect.

Maori - A "tengeri hon" talaja (Tai-houna)

Maori is known to be a Malayo-Polynesian language, but has deeper connections with the Austro-Thai group (Benedict 1975). The name Thai (Maori tai "sea, coast, tide") is common in China, Thailand and Hong Kong. Places called Taiping are found in both China and Malaysia. There is however a place called Taï on the Ivory Coast of Africa, and a Niger-Congo language called Taita. India has a mausoleum called the Taj Mahal. The Niger-Congo root *ta means "dwell". Maori taiao signifies "world, country". The Egyptian hieroglyph (N16) t3 means "land" (flat alluvial land with grains of sand beneath it is depicted). Maori rā "sun, day" matches Egyptian ra "sun, day", also Niger-Congo ra, la, d.a "sun, day". Genetics indicates an early migration out of Africa into Asia, and from Asia into the Pacific (Cavalli-Sforza). We can trace the Maoris back to Asia. They are thought to have come from Taiwan (root tai).

In Bantu class 2 ba has a matching singular class 1 mu > gwu, often reduced to N-C u. This prefix u- perhaps occurs in Maori uha "female element", uri "offspring" (or u = "breast"), and begins certain mythological names (Uenuku "a war god"), but usually lacks personal meaning : uhi "tattooing needle" (PWS ki(n) "needle"), uku "a fish" (= Bantu cu(i), PWN KHUINI "fish"), uma "bosom", umu "earth oven", ure "penis" ("tail"?), uru "head", singular only (= PWS du, lu "head"), utu "revenge" etc. Compare prefix 3 in N-C, also u-, but not of persons.

"come", haeremai, PWS ba "to be in a place, to come"; also Maori nau "come, go", PWS ná "come". Such double matches of synonyms are very significant.

"cloud = kapua"
